Course Description

This course covers hydrostatic testing principles, planning, and execution for pipelines, pressure vessels, and tanks, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, and other relevant standards. Participants will learn safe test procedures, equipment selection, documentation, and reporting methods to ensure system integrity and operational safety.

Course Objectives

This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical understanding required to plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate hydrostatic testing of pipelines, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and process equipment in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards. Participants will learn test preparation, pressure calculation, test medium selection, safety precautions, leak detection, documentation, acceptance criteria, and post-test activities to ensure equipment integrity, regulatory compliance, and safe commissioning or return to service.
