NAFTA | Oil Spill Combating First Responder

About the Course:

This course has been designed according to the approved IMO OPRC model to

provide participants with information needed to make a quick, planned and

effective response to an oil spill and establish an appropriate response to

the risk in the area. The course focuses on and provides in-depth knowledge

and skills in on-site first response to oil spills with the emphasis on

combat and clean-up technologies.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to understand and apply the key concepts, tools, and practices covered in the program.

The course is designed for Government and Industry Personnel who have the

role and responsibility of On-Site Response to oil Spills. Personnel

involved in on-site logistics and equipment deployment and operations,

marine operations, health, safety and environmental monitoring.

No formal prerequisites are required. Relevant education or industry experience is beneficial.
