PRE-REQUISITES
A minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience (within the last 10 years) in construction or built environment projects
Relevant experience in roles related to construction project management, contracts, stakeholder management, governance, or scope management within the built environment domain
Candidates are responsible for ensuring they meet PMI eligibility requirements before applying for the examination.
PMI-CP EXAM
Computer-based testing (CBT) is the standard method of administration for PMI examinations. The PMI-CP examination is delivered through PMI’s authorized testing centers.
Once a candidate is deemed eligible, PMI will send an email containing exam scheduling instructions and an eligibility ID, which is required to schedule the examination. Exam appointments can be scheduled online according to the instructions provided by PMI. Full details are available in the official PMI-CP certification handbook.
The PMI-CP certification examination assesses candidates across multiple domains related to construction and built environment projects, including contracts management, stakeholder engagement, strategy and scope management, and project governance.
The examination is conducted as a computer-based test, and candidates are required to complete the exam within the allocated examination time defined by PMI.
